Space Base and Rocket Launchpad

Ready to blast off on an epic space adventure? The LEGO® City Space Base and Rocket Launchpad (60434) puts young commanders in charge of their very own interplanetary mission control, complete with a towering launch tower, a mighty multi-stage rocket, and a sprawling base brimming with authentic details that mirror real-world spaceports. Perfect for kids aged 8 and up who dream of exploring the stars, this 1,422-piece set delivers hours of imaginative role-play, hands-on building challenges, and plenty of opportunities to recreate the thrill of a countdown to liftoff.

Builders begin by assembling the impressive launchpad with its service tower, fuel lines and swing-away gantry arm, before constructing a detachable rocket featuring separating booster stages and a crew capsule that opens to reveal the astronauts inside. Around the pad, a bustling space base takes shape: a mission control center with monitors and command consoles, a rover maintenance hangar, satellite assembly bay, geodesic greenhouse dome, and a landing pad for the included helicopter. Every corner of the model is designed to spark storytelling — from tracking rover missions across alien terrain to coordinating repairs on orbital satellites.

The set includes 6 minifigures — astronauts in flight suits, engineers in high-vis vests and a scientist — along with a space rover, helicopter, satellite, and a cast of accessory elements like tools, tablets, radio dishes and even a friendly space dog. It's a brilliant birthday or holiday gift for budding astronauts, aerospace enthusiasts and LEGO City fans who love to build worlds they can actually play with. Once construction wraps, the finished build makes a striking display centerpiece for a bedroom shelf or playroom, and it combines seamlessly with other LEGO City Space sets to grow an ever-expanding galactic adventure.
