The Animal Sanctuary

Ready to become the hero every creature needs? *LEGO® Minecraft®* The Animal Sanctuary (21253) invites young builders aged 7 and up to step inside the beloved blocky world and construct a safe haven where rescued animals can thrive. Inspired by the open-ended spirit of *Minecraft*, this 206-piece playset blends hands-on building with the kind of imaginative, mob-filled adventures that fans know by heart. From the moment the first brick clicks into place, kids are drawn into a story where kindness, strategy, and a little bit of defensive building all come together.

The sanctuary itself is packed with authentic *Minecraft* details, including a sturdy pen for the animals, trees to climb and shelter beneath, and a feeding area stocked with hay and treats. Builders will assemble three buildable creatures — a cheerful panda, a bright parrot, and a quick-footed fox — each one capturing the pixel-perfect charm of the video game. The Steve minifigure arrives with carrots and bones in hand, ready to tame new friends, while a pillager armed with a crossbow lurks nearby, giving kids the chance to defend their sanctuary with clever traps and quick thinking.

Play features bring the build to life long after construction is complete. A hidden trapdoor swallows up unwelcome visitors, a hay bale launcher sends attackers tumbling, and the swinging gate lets Steve escort animals safely inside. These action-packed functions encourage role-play scenarios that mirror the problem-solving creativity *Minecraft* players love, whether reenacting favorite in-game moments or inventing brand-new ones.

This set makes a thoughtful birthday or holiday gift for *Minecraft*-loving kids, and it's designed to connect with other *LEGO Minecraft* sets (sold separately) so collectors can expand their overworld into a sprawling biome of farms, villages, and wild frontiers. Whether displayed on a shelf after a satisfying build or taken apart for the next adventure, The Animal Sanctuary delivers the perfect mix of creativity, storytelling, and hands-on fun that defines the *LEGO Minecraft* experience.
